Autumn brings feelings of warmth. Whether it is the leaves blowing, the brightly colored trees or the smell of pumpkin spices…it definitely makes us feel warm and cozy.

This fall, I want you to be able to enjoy a brisk walk outdoors or a cozy cup curled up in a blanket. Sounds great, but who has the time??

By preparing your meals ahead of time and our time saving tricks, you will be amazed at the few extra hours and the peace of mind that follows your diligence.

Step 1: Choose 3 recipes: A soup, a sauce and a stew (a chili will do here too).

Step 2: Make your grocery list. Quick Tip: Use recipes that have similar ingredients. This is a good way to feed your family high quality foods while being cost effective.

Step 3: Plan to dance in your kitchen. If you have 3 burners, you can have all 3 meals simmering at once.

Step 4: Portion your dishes to freeze or share with your sweet neighbor. You will have plenty to eat, leftovers for lunch and a variety of options to get you through your week. Change it up by serving those meals with a salad topped with your favorite nuts or seeds.

If you think that sounds crazy, come and join us for our class called “A Soup, A Sauce and A Stew!” The picture to the left was taken during this class. It was organized when a group of women contacted me. They wanted to eat better and eat out for lunch less…so we created a soup a sauce and a stew.  They came they cooked and they left with lunch for the entire week! Please contact The Keyes Ingredients for more information on setting up a a class for your group!

In the meantime, enjoy this quick and delicious chili recipe!
